BE A BETTER WRITER
How to write and not “just blog”. Elevating your skills, being a better self-editor, resources for writers, tackling writer’s block, soliciting useful criticism. Whether you are blogging for fun or for money, we will show you how to make the most of your resources, look at your work with a sharper eye, get better at what you do so you can be more successful at it. This panel includes:
Nicole Leigh Shaw – Magazine columnist, journalist, editor, freelance writer, essayist, and humorist behind NinjaMomBlog
Allison Hart – Award-winning humor blogger behind MotherhoodWTF?, and freelance writer.
Alicia Steffann – College writing professor, and award-winning creator of Naps Happen

Jen – The powerhouse blogger behind People I Want to Punch in the Throat, successful self-publisher of #1 Amazon best-seller I Just Want to Pee Alone as well as Spending the Holidays with People I Want to Punch in the Throat, author who has two books coming out with Random House in 2014, and freelance writer
Karen Alpert – New York Times Best-Selling author of her first self-published book I Heart My Little A-Holes – which was purchased for re-release in 2014 by HarperCollins, insanely popular parenting humor writer behind Baby Sideburns, essayist, and freelance writer
A SPECIAL PERK:
The reason we decided to keep this conference intimate is to allow for one-on-one time for those who want to get up close and personal to the faculty, to the bloggers and writers and authors they’d like to meet, talk to, ask questions. Between the social events and office hours, you will be able to shake hands with/hug/hang out with every single person on the BlogU faculty team. Yes, we are professionals – but we’re also just women doing what we love to do, who also love to meet people in the same shoes as us.
